Waiting Can Turn a Roofing Problem
Into a Much Larger Repair
Understanding what happens when a roofing problem goes unaddressed helps homeowners make an informed decision. This is not about urgency. It is about the reality of how building systems fail when water is involved.
Damaged Roof Decking
Water that penetrates the shingles and underlayment reaches the wood decking beneath. Saturated decking becomes soft, loses structural integrity, and must be replaced before a new roof can be installed. This adds cost and time to what would have been a straightforward project.
Mold and Moisture
Persistent moisture in the attic or between roofing layers creates conditions where mold can grow. Mold remediation adds significant cost and complexity to what would have been a standard replacement.
Insulation Damage
Attic insulation that absorbs water loses its thermal effectiveness. Saturated insulation also promotes mold growth and may need to be completely removed and replaced.
Ceiling and Drywall Repairs
Water that reaches the living space causes staining, bubbling paint, soft drywall, and eventually structural damage to interior walls and ceilings. These repairs are unrelated to the roof but are caused by it.
Structural Deterioration
Prolonged exposure to moisture can weaken roof trusses, rafters, and framing members. Structural repairs go well beyond the cost of a standard roof replacement.
Higher Energy Costs
A failing roof often means compromised ventilation and insulation. This forces HVAC systems to work harder year-round, raising utility bills every month the roof goes unaddressed.
Emergency Repair Expenses
A roof that fails during a severe weather event requires emergency service. Emergency repairs carry higher costs, less material selection, and often result in temporary solutions that still require a full replacement.

Precision You Can Trust
Roofing Measurement Technology
We use professional measurement technology, similar to EagleView, to build every proposal with accurate data instead of guesswork.
Satellite Measurements
Every proposal starts with high-resolution satellite imagery of your roof, giving us precise dimensions before we ever step on a ladder.
Roof Squares
Your roof is measured in "squares" — 100 square foot sections — the industry standard used to calculate material quantities.
Pitch
The steepness of your roof affects material choice, labor, and safety requirements. We measure pitch on every slope of your home.
Valleys
Valleys are where two roof slopes meet and are the most common source of leaks. We measure every valley to plan reinforced protection.
Waste
Cuts, edges, and complex roof lines create material waste. We calculate an accurate waste factor so nothing is under-ordered.
Material Calculations
Every component, from underlayment to ridge cap, is calculated to the exact quantity your roof requires, verified before installation begins.
Every measurement is verified in person before installation begins, so your proposal reflects exactly what your home needs. No surprises. No shortages. No guesswork.
A Complete Roofing System, Layer by Layer
Click through every layer to see exactly what goes into your new roof, and why each one matters.

Roof Deck
The roof deck is the structural foundation of the entire roofing system. Every other component is installed directly on top of this surface, so its condition determines how well everything above it performs.
- Plywood or OSB sheathing nailed to the roof trusses
- Damaged or rotted decking is replaced before anything new goes on
- A solid deck is required for every warranty to apply
If This Is Missing Or Installed Wrong
If rotted or weakened decking is covered up instead of replaced, new shingles have nothing solid to hold onto. Nails lose their grip, the surface sags over time, and the warranty on everything installed above it becomes void.
The products shown are examples of professional materials used by AllSeason Roofing. Final product selection may vary based on the roofing package, roof design, ventilation requirements, manufacturer specifications, availability, and the needs of the individual project. All materials included in the project will be clearly listed in the homeowner’s written proposal.

What Protects You
Your Roof Is Protected by
More Than One Warranty
A complete roofing project includes both a manufacturer warranty and a workmanship warranty. Understanding the difference between them matters.
Manufacturer Warranty
Provided by CertainTeed. Covers defects in the materials themselves. If a shingle cracks, delaminates, or fails due to a manufacturing issue, CertainTeed is responsible for coverage.
Workmanship Warranty
Provided by AllSeason. Covers defects in how the roofing system was installed. If a leak occurs due to a flashing error, improper fastening, or an installation mistake, this is what protects you.
CertainTeed Manufacturer Warranty
CertainTeed provides a lifetime limited warranty on Landmark and Landmark Pro shingles covering manufacturing defects. This warranty is provided by CertainTeed directly, not by the installing contractor.
- Covers manufacturing defects in materials
- Lifetime limited coverage on qualifying shingle products
- Transferable to subsequent homeowners (conditions apply)
SureStart Protection Period
The SureStart coverage period provides the strongest level of protection in the early years of the warranty. During this period, CertainTeed covers 100% of qualifying claim costs including both materials and labor.
- 100% material and labor coverage during SureStart
- 15-year to Lifetime SureStart depending on package and certification
- Requires installation by a CertainTeed-certified contractor
Algae Resistance Coverage
StreakFighter technology provides resistance to algae-related discoloration. CertainTeed backs this with warranty coverage on qualifying shingle products.
- 25-year to Lifetime algae resistance depending on product
- Applies to Landmark AR and Landmark Pro shingles
- Covers discoloration caused by blue-green algae
Wind Coverage
CertainTeed shingles are rated for wind resistance up to 110 MPH. NailTrak technology improves fastening accuracy and contributes to strong wind performance and warranty coverage.
- 110 MPH standard wind resistance rating
- Coverage applies when installed to manufacturer specifications
- Proper fastening is required for warranty eligibility
AllSeason Workmanship Warranty
The AllSeason workmanship warranty covers defects in installation, labor, and workmanship. This is separate from the manufacturer warranty and is backed by AllSeason directly for the life of the coverage period.
- 15-year coverage included with Good package
- 30-year coverage included with Better package
- Lifetime coverage included with Best package
Roof Leak Protection
Where included in the signed project scope, roof leak protection covers leaks resulting from installation workmanship defects for the duration of the workmanship warranty period.
- Coverage terms defined in the signed project agreement
- Applies to system components and penetrations in covered scope
- Contact your project representative for package-specific details
Exact warranty terms, coverage periods, and conditions depend on the selected roofing package and signed project agreement. Ask your project representative for full warranty documentation before making a decision.

All debris and packaging are removed from the property each day. A magnetic nail sweep is completed around the home at project close.
